The martyrdom of St. Cronk (Warhammer 40k fanart)

During the Chaos-assault on the Thracian sector there have been many reports of divine miracles, real or imagined, from soldiers and civilians alike. But few are as peculiar as the sightings of 'Saint Cronk'.
What little is known about Cronk before his supposed sainthood is that he served in the 53rd Galantean Brigade. He was by all accounts well liked among his fellow guardsmen and was also noted for his faith in the Emperor, which was apparently deep-seated even by ogryn standards.
This is where imperial records end and myths begin: According to local legend Cronk was taken prisoner by a Slaaneshi warband during a deployment with his battalion on the world of Yefraia.
He was brought to a heretical temple where he was chained up between two pillars and tortured for days, together with other captives, in preparation for some dark ritual that would see the planet fall into the Arch-enemys hands.
During all this Cronk had ceaselessly been praying to the Emperor for enough strength to vanquish his tormentors and just as the Slaaneshi ritual was near completion his prayers got answered. Imbued with divine power Cronk tore down the massive pillars he had been bound to, which made the temple collapse and kill everyone inside, thus thwarting the cultists diabolical plans and saving Yefraia.
Ever since this supposed martyrdom there have been several sightings of a winged ogryn, emitting the golden light associated with Imperial saints, dispensing the righteous wrath of the Emperor upon the heretical forces that still plague the sector.
